    Used to evaluate enterprise-wide operations, business analytics can be implemented in any department within an organization. The field typically uses data, statistical and quantitative analysis in measuring past performance to guide an organization’s business planning. Employers are increasingly seeking students from business programs who understand how to apply the tools and interpret the results in a business setting. Career possibilities include titles such as data technicians, data scientists and business analysts in the fields of finance, banking, forensics, logistics, marketing, healthcare, manufacturing, information technology and government organizations.
